You don't have to stay stuck in patterns that no longer fit the life you want to live.

Whether you've spent years trying to understand yourself or simply know something isn't working, you may have discovered that insight alone isn't always enough to create lasting change. Together, we'll slow down, turn inward, and explore what emerges—creating space for old patterns to shift and something new to take shape.

You've probably tried to understand it. So why does it keep happening?

You may have spent years reflecting, learning, and trying to make sense of yourself. You’ve gained insight into your experiences, your relationships, and the patterns that keep showing up. Maybe you've read the books, practiced coping strategies, or even done therapy before.

And yet, something still feels stuck.

The same reactions show up before you have time to choose differently. The same fears, self-doubt, or behaviors return—even when you know they no longer fit the person you want to be.

You’re not looking for another place to simply talk about the problem. You’re looking for a way to understand yourself more deeply, shift what keeps repeating, and create meaningful change.

You might find yourself…

✓ Knowing what you want to change, but feeling pulled back into the same reactions

✓ Understanding where your patterns come from, yet still feeling stuck in them

✓ Responding in ways that feel automatic—even when another part of you knows there’s a different way

✓ Being successful and capable in many areas of life while privately struggling with self-doubt, fear, or old beliefs about yourself

✓ Finding yourself caught in perfectionism, people-pleasing, overthinking, avoidance, or difficulty trusting yourself or others

✓ Feeling frustrated that insight, effort, or previous therapy haven’t created the deeper change you’re looking for

✓ Sensing that something needs to shift, even if you’re not entirely sure what’s keeping you stuck

These patterns are not simply things to understand or overcome. They are ways of responding shaped through experience.

Change happens when what has felt true meets something different.

Rather than only talking about what’s happening, our work creates space to slow down, turn inward, and notice what’s unfolding in the moment—thoughts, emotions, sensations, impulses, images, memories, or whatever else emerges.

Together, we’ll get curious about what we notice and follow it toward the deeper emotional truths that help make sense of why a pattern has persisted. From there, we create space for something new—something that doesn’t quite fit with what has felt true, fixed, or certain for so long.

Over time, what once felt fixed or certain can begin to change, opening up new ways of experiencing yourself, relating to others, and moving through your life.

Therapy that goes beyond talking about what’s happening.

We work with what’s happening in the moment.
Therapy is experiential, not just conversational. What happens in the room becomes something we can notice, get curious about, and work with together.

We follow what’s useful—not a formula.
I integrate EMDR, Brainspotting, ego-state work, somatic approaches, and other experiential therapies, drawing from different tools based on where the work takes us and what feels most helpful to you.

We give the work time and space to unfold.
I often work in extended sessions, allowing us to go deeper without having to stop just as something meaningful begins to emerge.

And throughout it all, you’re not doing this alone. Buddy and I are there every step of the way, offering guidance, support, curiosity—and the occasional joyful wiggle.

Ways to work together

Extended Sessions

More space to go deeper.

Extended sessions give us more time to settle in, follow what emerges, and stay with meaningful work as it unfolds—without having to stop simply because the hour is up. Sessions may be 90 minutes or longer and can happen weekly or less frequently, depending on what best supports you and the work we’re doing together.

Intensives

Focused time for meaningful work.

Intensives offer a concentrated block of time to focus on a particular experience, pattern, or area of your life. They can be part of our ongoing work together or used alongside therapy with another provider when there’s something specific you’d like dedicated time to explore.

Traditional Sessions

A more familiar rhythm.

Traditional 60-minute sessions can provide ongoing support, give us time to prepare for or integrate deeper work, or simply be the right fit for where you are. We’ll decide together what format and pace make the most sense for you.

Hi, I’m Rich Doyle

LCSW-C · EMDRIA Certified Therapist · 20 Years in Mental Health

I’ve always been curious about people—what shapes us, what matters to us, and why we sometimes find ourselves doing things that don’t quite make sense, even to ourselves. Twenty years into this work, that curiosity hasn’t gone away.

I take the work seriously, but I don’t believe therapy always has to feel serious. There’s room for honesty, uncertainty, humor, and being fully human. My hope is that you’ll feel comfortable bringing all of yourself into the room—not just the parts you think you’re supposed to bring to therapy.

And then there’s Buddy, my certified therapy dog and co-therapist, who tends to make all of that a little easier. He brings warmth, connection, and plenty of wiggles to the room.

Ready to see if we’re a good fit?

You don’t need to know exactly where to begin. We can start with a free consultation to talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you have, and see whether working together feels like the right next step.
